This project involved security upgrades for the existing Chicago facility.  The design aimed to seamlessly integrate enhanced security measures within an existing urban context.  New features in the building's site, enclosure and interior incorporated state-of-the-art security technology.  The project involved many technical challenges, including construction on top of a vacated street.
